Hard drive: 30MB free space
Product Specifications.
Size: 68.6(w) x 105(h) x 22.1(d) mm
Weight: 203g with battery (rather heavy but will get use to it)
Capacity: 20GB (currently my zen touch contains about 9 full albums, 3 half albums, and other singles - MP3 & wma format; a total of 531MB size of 186 songs, still 18525MB free space available)
Batery life: Up to 24hrs of continuous playtime
Interface: USB 2.0
Playback format: MP3, Wma & wav (wma format is really a great feature to be included. it's a real setback that ipod excluded that.)
Features.
- vertical touch pad control for fast and easy scrolling (I'm still not used to it)
- up to 24hrs continuous playback (dependable on the backlight settings etc...)
- up to 98db signal-to-noise ratio (as good as expensive hi-fi systems - hmm... i think earphone and eq are the key factors)
- create, save and customise playlists on-the-go (hmm... got it's pro & con if u compare w/ iriver, and after one playlist it will stop, can't continue playing the next playlist.)
- unique search function locates any song, album or artist (well, that's new, and i dun really use it at the moment)
- usb 2.0 for faster transfer
- random button to easy shuffle the playback of "all" your songs (All the songs available in the playlists! Setback! Iriver allows to have individual shuffle at each playlist!)
- 4-band custom equaliser and advanced EQ presets let you customise your music playback (firmware upgradable, will upgrade firmware soon)
- audiosync lets you seamlessly update your player with your latest music on the pc at the touch of a button
- Fm radio, voice & Fm recording via optional wired remote control (available separately) - I got this free; I dun really need it though; but still tried and it... really disappointing; not very user friendly; software can't set the stations in advanced like the iriver manager; with that connected to the player, it's lengthen the whole earphones wire, very not nice; perhaps should get a shorter earphones if available; & the controller is rather bulky; I will not even thought of having to switch to fm.
- Zen touch player
- A pair of stereo earphones
- Universal power adapter
- Carrying case
- USB 2.0 cable
- Installation CD
- Quick start guide (very brief)
Package.
Overall, I think it didn't fare as good as Iriver. Making comparison to Iriver and it's software. It really need to improve. Perhaps I have to d/l the latest firmware to see how. Will be making another review soon.
That's all! Thanks for reading.
